Dirty Rotten Socials #3 The Rise of the Business Geniuses

Tuesday 20th January 2015
6PM

The final event of the season for the Dirty Rotten Social Series kicks off on Tuesday 20th January. For those not yet in the know, the event series takes a look at different ways to drive change.

‘The Rise of The Business Geniuses’ will be hosted by a renowned successful social entrepreneur, before the audience starts-up an imaginary business together.

Social entrepreneurship is attracting talent, money, and attention, but what if the new model is eclipsing the power of the regular business to do good? Do all businesses need to be social enterprises and what’s wrong with making millions, but running an ethically tight ship?

This event looks to unlock the potential of successful businesses to do good and explore where the balance between commercial, ethical and social lies and where making money and being socially responsible collide.

We are pleased to confirm our host for the evening will be Michelle Morgan, Managing Director at Livity.  She will be joined by Ernestina Hall, Head of Strategy & Communications at Virgin Management, who looks after activities to engage start-ups and entrepreneurs across the UK including Virgin Pioneers’ Pitch to Rich, Rob Forkan, joint founder with his brother of Gandys Flip Flops and Orphans for Orphans, Bejay Mulenga, Founder of SupaTuck and Michael Solomon, director of Profit Through Ethics, the company behind Responsible 100,

The event will take place in the atmospheric Chapel at The House of St Barnabas.  Tickets include a complimentary glass of wine to lubricate discusson and introductions during the interval.

The Dirty Rotten Socials are run in partnership with social pioneer news website Pioneers Post. They are creating a collection of Dirty Rotten Social stories to help you design like you give a damn, start a movement and host of other videos, features and blogs  to support the events.
