We are on the cusp of sharing our inaugural five-year impact report; a look back at the work we have done to help people affected by homelessness back into lasting paid work. The work, that since 2013, you have contributed to by helping create a space that in the words of one graduate is “unlike anything else”. We’re proud of the work contained in this report and are looking forward to telling you more about people like Maria, who used her time at the house as a springboard to a career as an ambulance care assistant and an assured tenancy on her home. The work that you are supporting us to undertake is having a real impact on people’s lives.

I am so honoured to have spent the last decade of my life working with The House of St Barnabas – which has undergone a radical transformation in that time – all to support people in breaking their cycle of homelessness. Thank you to each one of you for helping to make this happen.

We have now begun the process of recruiting a new CEO and are working with executive search firm Green Park to do this. If you know of a great candidate, we’d love to hear about them, please email jobs@hosb.org.uk and we can pass the information along.

So, at the end of July 2019, I will say goodbye and good luck to the house and move on to a new adventure – what that is I am not sure yet, but I am looking forward to the exciting possibilities. I shall be cheering very enthusiastically from the sidelines.

Thank you for helping us to turn an idea into a reality and supporting so many to break their cycle of homelessness.
