VOLUME ONE A guide to The House Of St Barnabas

We have written a book! Delve into its pages for an insight into our world; our values, our history, our people and our idiosyncrasies; the extraordinary things that make us who we are and determine why and how we work towards our vision.

This is our first book and it captures the essence of The House of St Barnabas at this moment in time. We’d love for you to read it, cherish it, take it on your commute, or let it keep you company on your bedside table. If you would like to buy your very own copy please get in touch so we can save you one.

Collaboration is written into the DNA of the House so to write the book of our culture, we knew we wanted to work with the many people who have been a part of our journey.

Working with the talented company (and founding members) B+A we held a workshop, calling upon our team, the people we support, our members, funders, key partners and our board to help us write the narrative of what we do, how we do it, and why we do it that way.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part and entered into the spirit of what we hope our book represents; an inclusive community whose values are set and shared by the whole.

"I dont just want to survive, I want to thrive and survive and the House allows me to do that."
Malvinder Bhamra, Employment Academy Graduate, page 37

We work to enable others to do the same. Can you help us?

We wouldn’t have been able to gather all these stories or probably have known what to do with them without the help of Tamika and Nina at B+A.

B+A have been  friends of the House since the beginning and if you are going to write a book, write it with one of your friends.

The House of St Barnabas

Creating this book was no small feat – it wouldn’t have been possible without the contribution of the special team at the House and at B+A, and the passion, hard-work and creative brain power of every single contributor.

You’re all gold. Thank you.
